The existence of two types of Chirpers is spelled out in Alien Realms where one Chirper village is found to be able to caste, unlike all the other villages. It can also be deduced from the fact that many Chirper villages on Vanejen have several sets of coyns but evidently don't use them for casting. Yaskoydray must have tried to teach them, but in vain.
