Jeffrey McManus

Jeffrey McManus is a writer and technologist based in San Francisco, California.
He wrote a short article for JTAS 19 when he was 16 years old; the piece was his first paid publication. After attending the University of California, Santa Barbara, he worked as a newspaper reporter for two years, then switched careers to technology consulting. During this time he established a specialization in the development and management of online communities and developer-oriented platform products. From 2003 to 2005 he ran eBay's platform evangelism team; in 2005 he co-founded and led Yahoo's Developer Network.
McManus is the author of six books covering software development on the Microsoft platform. He currently runs a consultancy, Platform Associates, which helps businesses develop and bring platform products to market. He is also the principal developer and CEO of the document-sharing web site Approver.com.
