The Universal Religion Profile is a series of seven codes describing the various aspects of a religion.
Most sophont species develop religions during their climb to civilization. Religions begins as an attempt to explain the world and the many questions of life, the universe, and existence. Religions often evolve into philosophical schools which set down modes of conduct intended to lead the believer to a better existence.

| 5 | Liturgical Formality | Degree to which the religion organizational controls and directs the devotions of the believers. |
| 6 | Missionary Fervor | Degree to which believers search for and recruit new converts. |
| 7 | Number | Number of adherents, based upon order of magnitude |
